Same here. Huge John Prine fan, and his health was already awful before this diagnosis. Was lucky enough to see him a few times, and as recently as this past fall. Funny enough, one of his encores was "When I get to heaven" and he sang it with the biggest smile. I pray the lyrics are true and he gets his wish...

Immensely sad. In addition to writing incredibly catch pop punk songs for Fountains of Wayne, Adam was a prolific songwriter for movies, tv, and stage. He was an incredibly unheralded musician in many ways despite having won three Emmys, a Grammy, and songwriting awards. He was also nominated for Oscar, Tony and Golden Globe Awards.
