Fuzzy Zoeller, a two-time major champion and one of golf's most gregarious characters whose career was tainted by a racially insensitive joke about Tiger Woods, has died, according to a longtime colleague. He was 74.

RIP, but what he said directly affected public affection towards him. He went from being one of the most popular to one who was not welcome at a lot of places. And that was in 1997. Before social media really became a thing.
