When I was a kid, it seemed they always had an arm band, thought it was part of the uniform.

Stick was a true Yankee, covering so many different responsibilities over the years with almost unimaginable competence. RIP, old warrior.

I'm not a big baseball guy but played a fair amount of poker with him. Nice guy, really down to earth. Seemed to be in good shape recently too; that sucks.
