The A10 in the early/mid 90s was certainly on par w the big East. There was no peak UMass in the big East. Umass was a force and I remember them just dismantling us in the Hawaii tournament in 96. Had we played them in the final four we would

Well, I was at the game in Hawaii. We led at the half. And the team that beat UMass, Kentucky, was very fortunate to have beat us in the final. If Laz doesn't get hurt with about 12 minutes left, very likely a different game. The A-10 was never on par with the Big East. The mid to bottom of the conferences were not close to par with each other.
