He was a great competitor and definitely livened up the conference.

My favorite Lefty quote (speaking about the record number of wins Adolph Rupp had at Kentucky), "I'd have that many wins, too, if I coached in the SEC."

Lefty was a great coach from an era where coaches were not afraid to show how they felt about anything that happened in a game.

ACC and Big East had some of the most dramatic ones.
