RIP Lou Reed

For those newbies out there, take note that Reed attended Cuse. Velvet Underground is still underappreciated for their influence in music imo.

Learned about it on freaking facebook...:bang:

I have been called a musical trivia genius by several "kids" i.e. 20-30 year olds. I am 42. Until like 2005 I thought Velvet Underground was a 90's New Age Band.

That right there says something about this point. Velvet Underground was very unappreciated. I can say that with certainty. It is basically unprecedented that I find "new" music that was recorded 40+ years ago.

May all the Colored Girls Sing to you on the other side. He tried and failed to gonna try to nullify his life and I also often wish I was born 1000 years ago.

R.I.P.

They were pretty unknown, but anyone that knew them certainly appreciated them. I remember hearing the line "The Velvet Underground didn't sell many records, but everyone who bought one started a band."

Sterling Morrison also attended Cuse with Lou until he dropped out and moved to NYC.

A sad day indeed.
