The guy was a warrior.

"Through 17 autumns with the Vikings, Tingelhoff never missed a game, starting 240 straight in a career that saw six Pro Bowl trips and five All-Pro selections.

I read that quote in Ray Scott's voice. RIP, Mick.

Played when I fell in love football, RIP Mick.
First football game I ever went to was in 1967. Minnesota at Pittsburgh. I was 8 years old and in 3rd grade. I brought the game program back home with me and studied it over and over. I adopted Mick Tinglehoff as my favorite player. I guess when I was eight, I entered my Beavis and Butthead stage and must have thought that Tingle sounded a lot like Tinkle. It's my only explanation over 50 years later.

Those Viking teams were well known for the Purple People Eaters but their offensive line was very good as well and Tinglehoff was the anchor. RIP.
