Inorder to salvage this season from complete disaster we need to get to 6 wins and a bowl game. Although it looks bleak now, looking at our remaining schedule, we still have a good shot at getting to 6 wins. NC State and Pitt were very bad matchups for us considering their good defenses, and especially their strong pass rushes (Pitt ranked 1 in sacks, NC State ranked 8) against our non-existent o-line. Good news is the 5 teams remaining on the schedule have nowhere near as good of defense/pass rush.

FSU - ranked #46 in sacks; #113 in total defense
BC - ranked #119 in sacks; #116 in total defense
Duke - ranked #32 in sacks; #33 in total defense
Louisville - ranked #76 in sacks; #111 in total defense
Wake Forest - ranked #69(nice) in sacks; #94 in total defense

So there ya have it, aside from Duke, the remaining teams on our schedule do not have very good pass rushes and, overall, are not very good defensively. I would expect Devito/Welch to not be on their asses as much, and the offense should be able to be more effective than they have been over the past 2 games. Assuming our defense continues their strong play (and they will only play better if the offense picks things up) we should be able to get at least 3 more wins this year.

It's very difficult to say which dook will show up, the one that beat VPI 45-10 or the one that lost to UVa 45-14, (with mixed results in between). They outgained VPI 422-259 and were +2 in turnovers (caused 2, gave up 0) that led to +14 points. They were outgained by UVa 250-307 and were -3 in turnovers (caused 2, gave up 5) that led to -13 points (scored 7, gave up 20).

Let's see if we can win 1 game, then talk about the path to a bowl.

NC State has basically played two decent teams anf their d sucked in both games, WVU and bc rolled them up, you keep mentioning sacks but we can’t run the ball either if a defense has a pulse they have a chance against us

It can still happen. Despite everything negative, the last two games were 50/50 games, had a shot to win both at the end. As pointed out above the teams left on the schedule don't have the same pass rushers they've played against so far. The ACC is such a blob, I can see Cuse winning or losing any of the last 5 and not be surprised.

No way were the last two games 50/50 Pitt dominated in the first half and if Pitts coaches don’t play bump and run on 4th and 25 we never score the 2nd td

You always have excuses for the opposition when SU does something right. Maybe if Pitt didn't interfere so much, we score the TD before the 4th and 25? At least try to be a little objective.
