Met Rodney a few times. Talked to him for a bit at the Camping World bowl for a bit a few years back too. Really solid dude. He’d be a good coach in a support role or assistant coach at the college level and maybe head coach some day. Really solid dude that connects well with the players.
Also mentioned Andy Johnson in that article as well. Know him pretty well. Super nice dude, alllll about his players, big dude. He coaches at one of the Dakotas for a bit and then took the Boone job. He had some health issues and wanted to settle down with the family.
Andy and Rodney both had stellar programs. They both put out some good players that went to big time schools. Townshed the longtime punter for the chiefs, forget where he is now but he went to Boone under Andy. Lots of good college players did. Orlando will have a big hole to fill losing both of them as they were both significant figures in high school football in central florida
