Ron Morris...the SC dude that has us #4 in the poll...

I recall a Saturday Night Live skit years ago during their news segment where the media critic comes on to preview the Academy Awards and goes over the nominated films - he proceeds to eliminate a couple of them based on the fact that he never saw the movie, therefore it can't possibly win an award.
This guy reminds me of that.

It is kinda meaningless...but I'd be curious what games he's seen Ohio State, North Carolina, and Kentucky play in. I've watched all three several times as well - at times all three have looked great, at times they've played poorly. I realize that nobody can watch every game, but it sounds like this guy only judges teams based on games he personally watches, and ignores the box scores of all other games.

I'd actually feel a little better if he said he watched against Florida, Va Tech, and Stanford - because Syracuse didn't look great in any of those games, and he wouldn't be judging a team on the ridiculously small sample size of one game.
Make your decision then varify it by only doing tests/experiments that back your theory. Can't be simpler than that? When you only watch three good teams (or close to only) then they are obviously the 3 top teams.

Did I hear that right ...some comments:
Who was the idiot announcer who apologized for SU Fans sending Morris all the e-mails?
He bases his decision at the beginning of the year based on college basketball magazines? Who has the best personnel based on magazines?
He says that a team has to have at least 3 stars on the team to be #1 ... name me them on OSU ... name me them on UNC
Wow ... this guy is an idiot ...and if we win every game but 1 that validates his position? ... evern though UNC, OSU have already lost 2 and probably more ... and UK ain't gonna go through the season unscathed. So if SU has 1 loss for the year and say UNC, OSU have 4 each ... and UK has 2 or 3 ... then they are still better b/c SU has 1 loss? No wonder Spurrier said ... "get this guy outta here" ...

Oh yes... sorry. He doesn't like that SU plays 10 guys? Teams are lucky to have 10 guys that can play at the top level ... Phew where did this guy get his basketball info that has made him a so-called "expert".

Once again, the insecurity of Syracuse fans shines through. It's bad enough that Seth Davis gets so much bitching from Cuse fans on Twitter that he toys with us about who he's going to rank #1 this week, but now people are crucifying the single voter who (gasp) dared to not rank us #1 or #2? Really, is it that big of a deal? Probably the reason he's seen SU play only once is b/c they only had 1 halfway decent OOC game.

Do I agree with this guy? No, I do not. But his one vote (or non-vote) means nothing...or actually less than nothing. They're still #1 in the nation, and that's all that matters.

I would like to hear how he rationalizes both Kentucky and OSU losing to Indiana if they are both "clearly a decided step ahead of everyone else."

Tom Crean and Indiana would like to hear the answer to this as well.

So he hasn't seen SU play more than once this year? Ok. That's what box scores are for. Look at the utter dominance, statistically, SU has had on nearly everyone they've played, including Seton Hall who just whipped a top 10 UConn team.
