Who are you rooting for? New to college sports, so are you rooting for Clemson, the team from the ACC, or Oklahoma, the out of conference team?

It helps our conference to have two national champions in three years and from two different schools. I think there will still be a fight for survival among the power five conferences and the Big 12 and ACC are the most likely losers. Two champions would improve our profile.

I will, of course, be rooting for the Spartans int he second game for reasons I've explained before. But if you like underdogs, you root for the teams that have the fewest championships in their history. Clemson has 1 title, (1981), and Michigan State has 1 1/2, (1952, and 1965 when the writers voted after the bowls but the coaches didn't so they returned their #1 ranking)). Oklahoma won in 1950, 1955, 1956, 1974, 1975, 1986 and 2000. Alabama won in 1961, 1964, 1965, 1973, 1978, 1979, 1992, 2009, 2011 and 2012.

That said an Alabama-Oklahoma confrontation in the final would be a fun battle football overdogs.

Clemson looking good! Cuse should consider placing a big S on their jersey sleeves like Clemson has with the tiger paw. Also like the small paws on back of their helmets.

How did we ever compete so well with Clemson? Yeah, I know it wasn't a playoff game. But the Tigers wouldn't be in this game if they'd lost that one.

One thing you've got to credit Shafer with if Clemson wins it all: his first team couldn't compete with a national champion but his third team sure did.

swofford made sure Clemson wasn't leaving the dome with a loss

UConn or Rutgers dirty? We sat among Clemson fans two years ago in the dome and i thought they were pretty classy. Especially the two in the daisy dukes to the front and left of me.

I also sat with a Clemson fan in 2013 and he was a very nice guy. We discussed the history of the two programs, including the 1995 Gator Bowl at length.

I'll take Clempson dirty any day. The other two would be like taking a header into my septic tank.

Totally Clemson. ACC. And their fans are always nice and we have a few that come on here. I will have to see if any of them will be coming to AZ (assuming they hang on and win).

Rolling with the Spartans in the second game. Mark Dantonio is my favorite coach in the sport.

I like D'antonio also. He's a great coach. I think Alabama will ultimately pull it out but it won't be easy against one of his teams.

I was rooting for Clemson as well. Felt they showed a lot of class in the dome this year.
We played them tough and they had an opportunity at the end to pad the score (which a lot of teams vying for a national championship often do), yet they chose instead to run the clock.
Plus as others have said, the Clemson fans seem to have some class.
