Rothstein is in town…

While I'm glad to hear that Jimmy's been playing well enough to be considered for a starting position, I'll be amazed if he's the starter unless Benny is seeming lost a little too often right now. Reason: IMO you NEVER want to waste a starting spot on a senior (Sidibe, e.g.) who's not gonna be around next year when/if you have a talented newcomer with great potential that you hope will be around the next year.

On the other hand, Jimmy does have mucho college experience, which is crucial for team development. If he does start, it will be because JB thinks that is the variable that matters the most, especially with that really tough stretch early in the season.

It really does depend on how Benny's playing by the time they start to scrimmage full court on the regular. If it's glaring that he is making many more errors than Jimmy, then he'll come off the bench...at least early on in the season. There's a lot to learn for a freshman, so he'd still have a chance by mid-season to show via his minutes-off-the-bench that he's become invaluable to the team.

Should be interesting...
