Not just for the putback, but he made some nice passes from the high post, notably the one late in the game that led to Christmas' two-hander.

What is Bayes major? If this guy isn't a success in life, I'll be shocked.

I believe it's child and family studies, but regardless of the major I agree that success appears looming on his horizon in some form. I believe he may have the most heart on this team, so if I had to pick a favorite player it'd be Baye, with Cooney waiting in the wings to take that torch from him. It's awesome seeing some of the less "naturally talented" guys who bust their hump get rewarded in games.

Not sure why Keita's minutes were reduced a little. Rak's game seems to be emerging but Coleman needs to step it up. I thought Keita was a beast on the boards. If he had 30 plus minutes he would easily have had 12 or more rebounds. In a game that is evenly matched, it will be interesting to see how the minutes are divided.

Coleman actually wasn't THAT bad last night. But I think once we get to the meat of the schedule (Maui, Indiana, ACC) we'll see BMK way more than we did last night.

I was still amazed by how nice the chemistry was between baye and rak. They had a nice understanding between eachother and baye in the highpost while rak posted up worked really well. Also did anyone notice how well rak moves his feet on d? That is something baye does exceptionally well that has rubbed off.

No doubt that Baye's been a big help in coaching his fellow-bigs.

And I agree - much more of that two-bigs lineup with Christmas and Baye, please. They play very well together, and they're terrific with the high-low.

Baye's dream/goal is to open and run schools in Senegal to give other children a chance for an education.
This. Why he is easily in my top 10 of all time Cuse players. And probably the only one in my top 10 that would make me look nutty if the criteria was only by looking at statistics.

Never thought about a top ten, that would be tough, and another that might be in the "make you look nutty based on statistics" category is Kristof.

Love BMK. That put back dunk was violent and beautiful all at the same time.

I have to think that the "JB trust lineup" is Ennis, Cooney, CJ, Grant and BMK when we are in a battle in a big time game.

Agreed, but I'd like to think by year-end that Xmas, Roberson, Gbinije, and BJ will be candidates as well. Hard to imagine who they would replace in that first 5, though.

As much as I'm trying to squeeze Roc into the fearsome fivesome, this would be my lineup too.

Fantastic. Thanks for letting me know.

Got to love a guy who warms up with this level of intensity
