please explain, would love to know whyLong overdue. Two great players that really should have been recognized years ago. There’s really only one reason why they weren’t.![]()
I'm pretty sure JB was Hackett's HC for at least a year. I know he wasn't Lee's HC at any point.First live game I ever saw was with Rudy and Jimmy playing. JB would agree with you about the last sentence. He thought the everyone’s fandom started with Louie and Bouie because he was the coach.
Hackett and Lee both graduated in 75. JB probably coached them on the Tangerines for their freshman season but was never their varsity head coach.I'm pretty sure JB was Hackett's HC for at least a year. I know he wasn't Lee's HC at any point.

I lived on the top floor of Lawrinson.Lived in Lawrinson in 72-73 and 73-74. Pretty much the whole BB team lived there then, plus a good number of FB players.
It was a planned Gong Show. No empty cups but the Day3 air band was gonged out by one R Bouie. It was the semi finals!I lived on the top floor of Lawrinson.
When the Orange beat UNC the dorm was shaking.
Literally shaking
I mean wobbly shaking.
Lee and Hackett were one of the best outside-inside combos SU ever had
And I worked at Jabberwocky.
The best non-media job I’ve ever had.
Someone mentioned an “air” band
I recall an open
Mic night when someone came up to “play” air guitar.
It wasn’t long before the first empty beer cup came flying.
Then it became a barrage
And the guy was about knee deep in cups.
He did eventually make it off the stage.
