On Clarks 20 yard corner route catch. Minny was called for a 15-yard PF for hands to the face. Why was that not added to the end of the play like every other personal foul ever?

yeah I was a bit confused on that as well. have to review the rule book a bit to see what triggers that PF to not be added to the play?

upon reading the rule. since the penalty took place before the pass the team has a choice of the play or 15 yds.. there are other plays that have this same type of enforcement its just not always explained. the refs could clear up by a bit when they announce it.

I imagine that like pass interference, which is not a spot foul in college, the play was longer than the penalty. Just guessing.
