Apparently, Cooper Flagg's head coach at Montverde Academy was extremely good friends with Carmelo Anthony, and through that connect, he and Kiyan became friends. They always talked about possibly playing together and after extensive deliberation, he is rumored to be entering the portal in hopes of playing one season with Anthony before going pro. Additionally, Flagg indicated he is excited to play under Coach Autry and believes he could well sneaky be the best coach in the ACC. There is no official confirmation of this but I heard it from a well-placed source within the program that Flagg is extremely like to be wearing Orange next season.

This morning my family got sent into a tizzy when Barstool Sports Cincinnati's X posted that UC's 5 star Shon Abaev was opening up his recruitment and looking at Alabama and Auburn. I even thought in my head, "this must be real because tomorrow's April 1st!" After some denigrating of coach Wes Miller my son that works for an SEC school told us those were flying around all over about lots of players and schools. Played is how I felt. Of course, Abaev de-committing is 1000 times more believable than the Flagg thing. No matter what day it is, that was an instant..."No he's not."

This is good news. ESPN says Cooper Flagg has transferred to Syracuse upon learning that retired coach Jim Boeheim has agreed to return and coach the duke transfer thru his senior season in the newly founded AAACCC.
the new AAACCC will consist solely of teams from the states of Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado , California and connecticut.
