A few weeks ago I was hearing crazy rumors surrounding the SU hoops program. Nothing new and any of you with an internet connection probably heard the same ones.
But they were crazy and they just kept getting louder so I posted here wondering if anybody else had heard the same stuff I was hearing. The post got deleted and subsequent posts I made related to that first one also got deleted and I basically got a virtual 'time-out' from the admins. Didn't at first understand why, but looking back on it, now I do.
Anyway, with the news that USC just hired the FGCU coach and the fact that SU has made such a deep run in the tourney, pretty much all of the rumors I had heard have really proven to be just that - rumors.
I'm gonna guess that what happened was that someone got wind of the NCAA 'investigation' and just started throwing some really crazy out there to see if anything would stick.
So consider it a lesson learned on my part and if I can share that with all of you then so much the better.
