Clearly an effort was made early to help the OL by having DeVito run the ball - the QB draw play was obviously wide open.

The threat of the run prevented the WMU DL from pinning their ears back.

Solid strategy.

I wonder who is faster, devito or dungey (not that faster = better runner)

Devito has more ft speed. Dungey is tankish when he runs ina bulldozer sort of way lol

Depends on the run. He’s not able to run side to side and turn up the field like ED but he seems to run straight ahead faster. Not sure that that will be as useful against most teams.

Always useful if you have to plan for/think about it - even if you only do it once in a while.

If Ryan Nassib could have run at all he would have won many more games. TD won't have that problem.

I like running DeVito at least a couple of times a game. I like passing to the tight a half dozen times a game. i like passing to the backs 3-4 times a game. it will open everything else up for the conventional running game and wide receiver passes. Make them cover everyone and the whole field. It can't be done.
