Running Game Breakdown

We all agree that winning 6 games is the goal this year. What we saw on Friday, with Dungey needing to churn out 200 yards with his legs, and not much from anyone else, is certainly not a recipe to reach 6 wins going forward. If we don't figure out how to reach 200 yards with our running backs, then Dungey will not be playing a whole lot this year, and we will not be bowling.
Can't we just put Abduhl Adams in a Strickland jersey?

Custis had 160+ yards receiving and 2 TD (close on a 3rd). That was nice

We scored TD in the red zone mostly

Eric can throw, our coaches can coach the pass, N Johnson was hurt - passing game will get better

Eric got hurt passing in year 1, blown up at Clemson in year 2, hurt his foot sliding in year 3... he plays wrecklessly and might get hurt, but he hasn’t been hurt running the ball on designed runs. I think that’s similar to RB - they can see the hit coming and mitigate it

If you take our Dungey's yards our running game against a MAC was very lackluster. I expected better from both our backs and OL. Very disappointed

Yes, but a lot of those yards were DESIGNED runs...hence the blocking was very good for those plays.

I do t know why we want to discount the blocking on those runs.

I agree and then the adrenaline of the game got him going into fullback mode.

Cusian, you're right and as Babers said their ain't no way to get that out of him.
He is certifiably nuts and I personally love that about him. If he can’t make it as a nfl qb he should play fullback lol
