Russ Smith Returning to Louisville

he would have to sit out a year.
Nah, I don't think he hired an agent. He just verbally committed. Unless you fill out the paperwork, you still have until the April 28th deadline to decide.

i was hoping he would stay in the draft

said none of the nba gms

You missed my weird sense of humor.

Newmexicuse was just joking around about CJ Fair returning (transferring) to Louisville and said he would have to sit out a year. Not that Russ was going to have to sit out a year

Do you all think this means Louisville maintains #1 overall as the season begins?

Is Dieng leaving? Losing him and Siva would be big. Who do they have coming in?

They still have Behanan, Harrell and Hancock.

Those guys are all very solid but not enough to keep them #1 without really good players to replace Siva and Dieng, if he leaves.

Harrell will be great. If hancock can be consistent, he'll be very dangerous. Behanan needs improvement though.

I think slimy rick will have them back in the top 5 easy.

I can see that. I just don't think they'll be preseason #1.

Smith was a better player than Siva, but didn't do all the clutching and grabbing Siva got away with. Louisville is now a top 5 team preseason. I commend the kid for coming back he was at best a 2nd round pick and since he is a Junior can get a college degree as I doubt he would have made an NBA team next year. I hope someone on the Hill realizes its better to get a degree than take a gamble and fall to the 2nd round. C.J. should look no further than fellow Baltimore native Donte Greene who left early thinking he was at worst a mid-1st round pick and fell to the 25th, and 25th would be optimistic for Fair.

Well how foolish of mwa.

Of course ESPN will be kissing Coach Cal's ass. Louisville, along with Syracuse if CJ stays, should both be in the top 5 though.

i disagree in that i think russ smith was the worse violator of the grabbing/clutching. he pressed more than siva from the games i watched.

No comments from you in the ACC schedule thread huh Poppy?

What did I miss? It would take about 2 hours to read through all the comments. I saw the schedule though. Surprised that 2 of the 3 big games are at home in the first year, but that just means future year schedules will be less favorable.

No way, whether I agree with it or not, every idioitic journalist with a vote will put Kentucky number one, since ranking high school players and how they will play as freshman is an exact science. I think the coaches will just follow suit and vote Kentucky number one also.

You typically have an opinion I read, I don't necessarily agree with all of them and disagree with a few for sure, but I respect them and figured you would say something.
