Martin sucks. he is not worth much more than the major league minimum.

Martin is getting $7.5 million this season. He's looking for $8-10 million per season as part of a multi-year pact.

"Russell showed muscle" with his great start last year but after that he provided very little offensively. I don't mind him as a catcher but I'm not sure about long term deal as there are plenty of good catchers to be had in the trade market this year or free agency in 2013.
