Princeton's three wins have come vs West Alabama, Lafayette and Buffalo. Their five losses have come vs Elon, Bucknell, Morehead State, Wagner and NC State.

Not too many powerhouses there, but they did beat Rutgers tonight by two in Piscataway.

Hey ... we play Bucknell and NC State ... real powerhouses

And your point is what, exactly?

Playing teams like Bucknell is one thing. Losing to them, after being down at one point by 17 points, is yet another.

See the difference between "playing" and "losing" and "losing badly"?

Don't be so quick to criticize the SU schedule that you misinterpret posts. Besides, NCSU is in the ACC. (You know that, right?)

Hmmmm ... have your coffee yet this morning? Let's talk about misinterpreting posts ... OK? The OP related to Rutgers vs. Princeton ... ergomy post related to Rutgers ... Do you see the relationship? NO? Well let me go further. Where in my very, very bief post did I criticize SU's schedule? Can't find it? Duh.

1) Have no idea whatsoever what you are talking about when you write: "Playing teams like Bucknell is one thing. Losing to them, after being down at one point by 17 points, is yet another." What does that have to do with anything I wrote in a very, very brief post?

2) "See the difference between "playing" and "losing" and "losing badly"?". Again I have no idea what you are talking about relative to my very, very brief post ... Did I talk about Losing or Losing badly? Nope ... hmmmmm

3) Have no idea whatsoever what you are talking about: "Besides, NCSU is in the ACC. (You know that, right?)" ... my only response is ... Huh? What does that have to do with anything I wrote in my very, very brief post.

4) My post related specifically to Rutgers (see OP) and their losses. Now if you are going to try to convince me that Rutgers is a good team because the lost to Bucknell and NC State? Well then you post is justified ... I think. That is saying that you believe that Bucknell and NC State are just absolutely great teams but I have seen both play on several occasions (have you?) and some how I just haven't been able to justify, in good conscience and right headed thinking entitling either team to the label of "great team".

5) Finally ... go have your coffee!!

If you weren't criticizing Syracuse's schedule, what exactly was the point of your original post? And I don't drink coffee, so it certainly has nothing to do with that. I'm with Townie on this one.

P.S. I will say that I misread the OP ... that Princeton lost to Bucknell and North Carolina State ... which makes the Rutgers loss even worse.
But ...let's take a look at Rutgers stellar record (4-5) with major wins against such powerhouses (yes I used that word again) as Dartmouth, Sacred Heart, Hampton, and UMBC

Never mentioned SU's schedule ... didn't even relate to the issue of us playing NC State or Bucknell. OK want me to go further ... such powerhouses as Elon, Wagner, and Moorhead State. As I never saw the last 3 play but have seen both NC State and Bucknell play I can better relate to their present basketball teams.

The point ofmy post was ... Rutgers really sucks this year.

Wait . . . is that their football ooc or basketball ooc?

Bad time to be a Scarlet Knight

Lafayette beat Penn State last night...bad times in State College.

Agreed. I read the response exactly the same way.

It's good prep for their new rivalry with the Kent State Golden Flashes.

I'm from the future. It's 2035 and Rutgers has never been good.

Buttgers is always good for a laugh. Hahahahahaha!

If "We play Bucknell and NCSU" isn't a comment of some sort on SU's schedule, I'd like to see one that was.

I've decided that I have had just about enough with the know-nothing "know it alls" on this board and the football board with their never-ending criticism of everything about the SU BB and FB programs. It's relentless and it seems to me its more about puiffing themselves up then it is reasonable conversation about the programs.

Among the things these chronic complainers don't like are the Dome, the recruits, dependence on the Zone defense, the individual players, the non-conference schedules, the start time of the games, the head coaches, the assistant coaches, the fan bases, etc, etc, etc.

Seems to me the only thing they like is the 2003 BB NC and a FB win over WVU this year.

I really wonder what it is they do like. And with this litany of complaints, they keep watching and going to games and posting.

When I first moved to DC I had Redskins season tickets as I had Cowboy tickets when I lived in Dallas and Iggle tickets when I lived in NJ. But after a while I decided I didn't like the Redskins (except for Art Monk). I didn't like Theisman. I didn't like the owner (and I really don't like the current one), I didn't care for the crowds that went there. And I hated the BS that the DC press inundates the fan base with. So I stopped going. I have been to two games since and I have turned down many opportunities. I can't regularly watch a team I don't like.
