Was somewhat surprised that these fellas travelled to Liberty while scholarship guys like Qadir White and Will Froumy did not. Cause for alarm?

you can only take a small number.. if we have enough at one spot we may limit some positions.. could also be injury issues.

Sounds like Dino takes kids that earn the spot or maybe some minor injures?
I think White needs to put it together soonish tho...

I never really could figure out what the story with White is. He obviously has the size, as a recruit we've heard he's a great athlete, and those close to the team constantly talk about him being strong as an ox.

Hard to figure out how a kid like that isn't pushing for time. The only real story out there is that he'd need 2 years to get his body ready for this level of football, but I don't really get what that means with all the other positive factors about him.

It actually is really straightforward -- he was a 4-star recruit because he was massive, it was more of a projection pick than indicative of him being a refined product. He needed to get into shape and greatly improve his technique [versus just being able to blow people of the LOS because of his mammoth size at the HS level].

By all accounts, he's worked hard and benefitted from redshirting. He's lost a substantial amount of weight, and is working on the play book / learning his assignments. He also changed positions. So W.I.P., but he's also a redshirt frosh, one game into his first year of playing.
