I’m sure Vince Kehres can be the judge of what he needs for the defense. Like his scheme sounds great and produces though I don’t exactly understands how it works despite the videos lol. But defense is a side of the ball that I’m not really sure on strategy.

All Fran needs is a punchers chance so if we get him on campus I’m happy.

And maybe I’m wrong but we haven’t landed any big ticket players so we may have money to pay this kid

No, not the same, but similar enough to warrant some interest from SU fans. I can’t stand 0% chance defeatism.

I have no idea about the circumstances that led to this kid leaving UGA, but there could be any number of factors that make SU an attractive landing spot for him. Maybe another player is pushing for his starting role and there are concerns about PT next year. Maybe he feels underutilized in the current defense scheme. Maybe he wants to play a year closer to home. Maybe UGA wasn’t willing to spend a certain amount to retain him and Syracuse can put together an offer that falls in the ballpark. Georgia has more resources than Syracuse, but they’re not infinite.

Aguero is close with Fran, and Vince Kehres has had three DBs drafted in the last four years at Toledo. That number will increase again in April when safety Emmanuel McNeil-Warren is picked in the first couple rounds. We have a glaring need at his position and the kid would be a centerpiece of our defense. And he would playing home games within driving distance of his family.

All considered, I’m not going to hold my breath waiting for a commitment here, and I fully understand there is a good chance that he goes to an SEC or B1G power. But I’m also going to wait until that happens before I write off the possibility he transfers to Syracuse completely.

Sure it does, considering that the defensive system SU is trying to install thrives on dynamic safety play, nobody on the current roster can adequately fill the role, and the player in question has First Team All-Conference potential.

Yeah he’s a stud. He was gone before the season ended. He had a bag waiting for him wherever . He wants to play for a contender. He has NFL aspirations it will be a top 2 round pick most likely
