I voiced here many times my concern when Freeman came back from injury that Sadiq might not be utilized well after being a significant contributor (starting and getting 21-22 minutes a game). He hasn't been at all which has clearly affected his ability to impact the game.

I think you could make a case for Betsey as well. He was essentially splitting minutes with Sadiq and was getting 20-21 minutes a game. Since Freeman came back, there doesn't seem much of a plan for how we're utilizing him either. Sad thing is that I really like both of these guys and we could very likely lose them because of this dysfunction.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not blaming Donnie for how things transpired. I'm looking at Red on this.

Why do people care if every player leaves? That’s the new normal in college basketball. We need a new coach and new system. I was hopeful Red was the guy but it isn’t working for whatever reason. It is unfortunate things didn’t work out but this is a results business and Red didn’t get results. Hopefully, the next guy we hire can at least get us to the tournament.

sadiq , freeman and WK3 should be our starting frontline every game. backcourts job should be feeding them and hitting wide open treys. not kamikaze lane drives. play the pg and sg combo who can get that done. probably means kingz and george but i'm open to options . and let's have the guards pressure ball full court /full game. we got more than enuf fouls and legs. BTW souare seems to be the only player who's improving and hustling every game. work him in more with kyle to keep both fresh and aggressive. 10 fouls lets use them . .

What is this garbage? Sadiq is one of the few that gives full effort all the time, especially on defense. He was also the biggest cheerleader on the bench today even when he wasn’t playing. The players can’t be malcontents every year. The only thing that’s consistent is the HC.

maybe I shouldnt have writen the previous post in the saidq thread...bc he does give effort (and gets taggged on some unfair fouls a lot) but the point is still there: the defensive intensity has disappeared in conference play

im guessing NIL kinda takes the power out of the coaches hands and puts it more into the players'

His salary begins with a 1 so it’s technically not multiple millions. Over the 3 years yes you’re right. And some of these players haven’t been worth the cost either

Does it? He made 1.8M in 2023 and that was for only ~10 months so it would seem like annualized it’s 2.2M no? I guess technically it could include some assistant salary as well
