Here's my opinion of him. I appreciate that he took the SU job when we were considered one of the bottom 10 teams in college football, and no decent coach wanted to touch us with a 10 foot poll. I think he did a very good job of ressurecting us from the laughing stock that we were. Who knows if we get the ACC call or if we're in a position to hire a coach like Dino without returning to mediocrity. He left the wrong way, but it happens a lot in sports, so it didn't bother me that much, it just left me disappointed that we would lose whatever momemtum we had. Ultimately I think it was best for both parties, so I have even less reason to dislike him. I have followed him since from a distance as an SU fan because I couldn't care less about Buffalo or Jacksonville, but he has ties to the team I care about and had a hand in it's success as player and coach. I root for him a little because of those ties and the way they may reflect positively on us.

I don't care much about whether he is a jerk because I don't know how accurate the accounts are. Before he left, I recall multiple posts on here saying he treated people really well when they interacted with them. Then he leaves and others say he's a jerk. There's just not enough objective evidence for me to make a conclusion.
