I do know for a fact, from a family member who is a professor at the university, that Douggie has a very big ego and is not afraid to throw around the fact he was the football coach and to stay out of his way. I have heard multiple examples of him being a complete jerk to people who both teach and work at SU. Not going to go into all the details here but he can be less than pleasant when he doesnt get his way.

I also know for a fact that he skipped both a Camp Good Days and also a Carly's Club event in Buffalo that he agreed to attend with no real reason. These are 2 very important organizations raising money for cancer and cancer related issues that rely on local celebrities/athletes. I have a hard time seeing Boeheim break commitments like these as he seems to get it alot better than Marrone/\.

I'm sure there is a middle ground.

You can call his quitting the Bills what you want. At the end of the day, he quit and it took him a couple of years to find another HC gig. I'm sure Terry Pegula let the other owners know or he would have been the Jets coach.
