Orange and Cav's fan here.  Some comments from watching him closely:
1) Dion's ability to split defenders and take it strong to the rim is elite in the NBA. His J is still unorthodox and he's a streaky shooter.
2) He and Kyrie had  a dustup last year.  Dion thought he was his equal.  Kyrie has taken it to a whole new level this year, so comparisons are now silly.
3) Dion has the talent to be the "Man" and wants to be the "Man".  With Kyrie, KLove and LBJ that's the last thing the starting unit needs.  He filled a great role as the "Man" on their second unit.
4) When the dust settled the Cav's got Shumpert (a very solid wing defender), JR Smith (a very talented 6th man, who makes Dion look like Andrew Luck), and Mozgov (the 7'1" rim defender they really needed, and someone who played for Blatt on the Russian team) for Dion, some deep bench players and a # 1 pick.  Good trades for the Cav's.  They need to win now or bye-bye KLove and maybe LBJ.
5) Dion is insurance for Reggie Jackson who is in the final year of his contract with OKC.
6) I feel really, really bad for Carmello.
