Well, this was nothing like the Pinstripe Bowl two years ago.
Had never been to San Diego. So, we decided to do it. We stayed at the University's assigned hotel - the Marriott Marquis in the Marina District. Saw the players and coaches and a bunch of SU friends.
We did the tourist stuff - the Gaslamp District, the San Diego Zoo, Sea World, Coronado Island. Fun.
The game was great. WSU obviously came to play. Pretty decent number of Syracuse University Football fans at the game.
Glad I got to see McCord and Allen play one more time. I have never seen an SU QB throw like Kyle. And, I love how LeQuint competes. Gill, Meeks, Pena, Gadsen, and Wax were all outstanding and a pleasure to watch play.
The Orange defense missed Tadil Diggs. I don't recall a QB sack, though the Wash State OL seemed to be grabbing a bit from my angle.
Snapdragon Stadium was impressive. Brand new and compact, and very functional. I didn't know that the old Jack Murphy/Qualcomm Stadium was on the same site before it was purchased and demolished by San Diego State.
What a privilege it has been to watch this team play. I still can't believe what I witnessed in 2024.
