Origin Coffee Co. is a good quick but quality morning coffee/breakfast spot. It is a little sleepy at night compared to Lake Placid down the road. That is where I would usually go for dinner. But a very nice area for sure.

ok so i did hit up ORIGIN for an early morning coffee and yogurt/fruit/granola cup ($6) for the wife. she loved it. first night we dined at the hotel. i'd say OK not great. next day checked out the RIVERTRAIL BREWERY for a light lunch. bought some merch. bartender told me they would have the SU game on that night. they did not. so we walked over to the LEFT BANKE CAFE on broadway . again OK but in no way memorable. the HOTEL SARANAC is a lovely old establishment but much like the rest of saranac lake really in need of an influx of cash and some TLC. there was a wedding rehearsal/reception in the grand ballroom that weekend. they were kinda loud on the patio below our room but we minglecrashed in for a drink or 2 so no big deal. truly beautiful weather and we did cruise up north towards malone for some early leaf peeping . wife wanted to visit a furniture shop up there. i imagine this week the foliage is nearing peak. and they caught the killer who's been on the lam near PAUL SMITH'S.
