Don't be surprised if Chris Petersen and Washington share mutual interest

Ogre Ron just got himself a good payday somewhere

No shock here, I thought he'd get it after Carroll split before the sanctions. I suppose they wanted to 'clean house' but I think it's funny they fired the maid and brought back the 'dirty' regime anyway. Also think it's funny how Sarkisian's career is so closely linked to Kiffin. Kiffin leaves for Raiders, Sark becomes OC. Kiffin gets fired, Sark becomes new HC. If I was Sark, I might ask Kiffin to be my kids godfather. Seriously.

Poor hire, IMO. If Sark didn't work at USC previously I doubt they even consider him. Major red flag.

Horrible hire for USC. They just had a retrend Pete Carroll assistant at USC and Sarksian has done nothing special at U-Dub to deserve a top 10 job. Horrible job by Pat Haden. I mean this hire is worse than when Auburn hired Gene Chizik and he won a NC at Auburn and was out of a job within 2 years.

I would have hired Chris Peterson, or James Franklin before Sarksian. I mean the dude has made Washington relevant again, but he hasn't beaten Oregon 1 time, and his teams haven't gotten over the hump. Sarksian did to Washington what Doug Marrone did to Syracuse he brought them back from the depths of hell and made them mediocre, but atleast Marrone took an NFL job and didn't stay in conference.

if Peterson goes to UW...yikes. That guy had his pick of a job at one point.

Tosh Lupoi and Justin Wilcox are going with him. Should help with the recruiting loss of Eddie O (who resigned after being offered an associate HC spot).

Hm, so where does the O tornado end up now?

Wyoming needs a HC

Lots of space to curse and throw things. No speed limits on the interstate as well.

Heh, but no one would understand a word he said.

Enfield and now Sark. Seems like Haden has two questionable hires on his resume in a short time.

i figured they'd only bring sark in if orgeron agreed to stay. yeah, this feels odd.

i can't think of the situation where orgeron is setup to succeed...unless he takes a head job at ULL, ULM or something like that with lower competition. His ability to do less with more at ole miss was incredible...and that was in his recruiting territory.

Maybe he's learned and gotten better as a head coach in the time he's been away from Ole Miss? Seems he did really well st USC.

Sounds like he's finally looking to get out of Boise
He sees the handwriting on the wall: Boise St. is no longer the trendy upstart...and the P5 has basically neutered all G5 programs.

Boise is the Groupon of College Football lol, once all the rage, now meh

Orgeron "outraged" he didn't get the job. just resigned

Orgeron was offered the position as "assistant head coach" and would be the highest paid assistant in the country. He quit. Good for him. My son who is a USC grad is outraged and said all the students wanted Orgeron. I knew it was trouble to lose to UCLA, but it does not even sound like that was a factor. They had been looking at Sarkisian all along. Had nothing to do with "cleaning house" either, as they felt they offered something good to Orgeron. They are just clueless. Hope Ed lands on his feet with a great head coaching job. He deserves it. Seriously what he did with that team after they fired Kiffin was amazing.
