Gotta disagree here. They beat 4 bad teams and Stanford.
Lost to a shaky ND team and UCLA.
All that happened was their schedule got easier.

I agree, He has some good talent coming in next year via transfers and recruiting. He did the same thing down here at FGCU and that worked out nicely for him.

This just goes to show you that there are truly so few great coaches out there. Sarkisian has been slightly above average IMO at UW. UW has great facilities, new stadium reno, boosters, solid game day environment and is in Seattle. Sure it's not USC, but UW has been OK past few years, yes just OK. Sure, he brought them back to respectability, much like Marrone did for us
I think Orgeron didn't fit the mold for USC HC at the end of the day, the good ole boy from Louisiana won't fit the image that many want. He had his supporters but I bet the true USC/ So Cal boosters, the big money So Cal people didn't back the move to hire Eddie and I am sure Haden figured that out. Eddie O will only be as successful as his coordinators as A HC, he can recruit and motivate like none other but can he scheme or manage, I don't know really. At a smaller school, he won't be able to hire big name assistants. He would be wise to hire Coach P as his DC if he gets a HC gig.

there were many talkin heads on the radio saying that if Sarkisian didnt take it to the next level this year discussion would start about him not being the answer.. he didnt really take the program very far, just leveled off.
I don't understand why USC is just going with guys that have coached at USC before. Kiffin and now Sarkisian. I know Haden didn't pick Kiffin but still...it just goes to show how difficult it is to evaluate coaches and to try to not only get a good coach but the right fit as well.
