It’s so funny people can be this upset about this. Brady, arguably the greatest QB ever, a top NFL wide receiver and one of the most recognized comedians in Fallon attending. We can be known as the school who brings celebrities to the games. It can help recruiting, makes the day exciting, and maybe they just want to watch some basketball like everybody else

And these guys have money too which SUAD could always use. Not saying I expect them to write a check but ADJW got Jon Gruden to write a check to the football program even though he has no affiliation to the school

This is a weird thread. I don't care who you are a fan of, if you have 3(maybe 2) high profile celebrities coming to the game there is no real downside. If Brady is not your QB its ok to just not cheer, but to boo a guy showing up to watch your team is extremely weird. But it wouldn't by Syracuse without an abundance of negativity.

What's a good movie he's been in? seriously? I thought his stuff was for teenagers and unders e xed housewives. I have literally never seen a Rock movie.
You have missed out. Pretty good actor

That's a bummer but The Rock has the busiest working schedule in that industry.

Most important thing is that Dior and Chance will be there, as well as Dave Bing!
I hope Dave Bing has time with the recruits

Do you really think he is coming to support Syracuse? That appearance fee is what he is there for. Let’s be serious. Fallon may be the only one legitimately there for ‘Cuse.

If we’re being serious there’s maybe a select few who actually have status who’d care about the game anyway

Not being rude to you just a statement, kids do not care about a 76 year old who played basketball at Syracuse 57 years ago. These kids can’t relate to anything. Once Melo retires I would get him having a relevance to these kids, but even when Melo won a championship here these kids weren’t even alive yet... SU needs more nba players so the recruits can relate to people actually playing in the league that went through cuse

He said they were coming to watch, not support Syracuse. Half of the celebs that sit court side for the Knicks or Lakers games could not care less about the team or game, but they still get shown on tv and bring publicity to the game. Howard Stern goes to Knicks games and he always talks about how he doesn’t know or care much about basketball or any sport.

He’s paying them to be there?

If they are fortunate enough to speak with him they will get it, they will care.

wait are talking about Rock Dwayne Johnson and never seeing one of his movies?

Jumanji
CIA
Fast and Furious
The Mummy
pain & Gain
Moana
san andreas

I dont know that there any Oscar stuff in here, but he does fun light hearted stuff

Brady is a GOAT.
Fallon is pretty big; far from a GOAT.
Edelman is just a solid possession receiver that benefited tremendously by playing for NE. He's basically Wayne Chrebet in a Pats uniform. He's not even a celebrity outside of New England.
I don't have a problem with any of these guys (not that it would matter if I did), but Weitsman totally oversold this booking so that I won't really pay attention to the hype in the future.

I'm not ashamed to admit that I really enjoyed the Jumanji movies. I watched San Andreas on a flight from SF to Newark that had a fair amount of turbulence. The movie was not good, but the sensation of bouncing around during an earthquake movie was amusing.

another miami famous son . LB rohan marley was bob's son. get up stand up. don't give up the fight.
