Related to this (and not even a "get off my lawn" observation, more like a Ron Burgundy "I'm not even mad, that's impressive" observation): during one of those trivia promos today, Jalen Carey and Guerrier guessed that Adrian Autry's favorite basketball player was, respectively, Lebron James and Kobe Bryant.

Because apparently they think Adrian Autry is approximately 25 years old and has formed his opinions on favorite basketball players in the past decade or so.

Precisely lol. Thank you for the backup. And an anchorman reference too is fantastic.
And just a note in reference to my other post... Dior was born in 2004. Wasn’t alive when Syracuse won national championship with Carmelo... WASNT ALIVE

That’s awesome you got to meet him! And he was at the Lax game?

Hobart grad. His roommate (name was Ed, class of 73) played for Hobart back in the day. Got invited to the new speakeasy in Armory Square and friend showed us pictures he was there. Andrew Donovan (another Hobart guy) was there who I know quite well working in news. He was very nice, humble, and loved his beverages haha. But, he was great and kind to everybody and took pics with everybody

Cool to see Falloon so engaged.

The other two pretty much confirmed that they're clowns and POS.

Nobody knows that. Suspect sure, but people need to stop asserting that like fact.

All those guys have multiple opportunities to use their time, and they choose to come here. Get over yourself.
Thanks for the sanctimonious drivel

Go back to telling everyone how the defense wasn't bad, as you did much of last FB season.

Turned on game late, saw the "3 Celebrities" -
-had to go online to determine who little guy in the middle was.
Thought was a replacement -maybe Fallon's little brother.
Pats are most-hated NFL team so 2X disappointment, but understand big deal for the many Pats fans!

Can’t believe some of the negativity here. Fallon was terrific and obviously into the game and experience. The crowd loved him. Edelman had some great interplay too, looking hurt at the boos then donning a Cuse jersey. Brady engaged with fans throughout. And Syracuse University is all over social media as well as more traditional channels (ESPN, NBC News). All this with four high profile recruits in the house. Don’t care what it took to bring them to the Dome or what the motivation was for Adam, seeing anything but positives out of at least this aspect of yesterday’s event is completely ignorant and absurd.

I agree that people who are incessantly negative about this situation are annoying. But you're taking it too far to the other extreme. It's natural for people to be inquisitive about something that is out of the ordinary. That's not being ignorant or absurd.

There’s a typical CNY anti-weitsman schtick here from a lot of locals and even some non local SU fans that is old. He had over a billion in sales last year in his business. Instead of making sweeping assumptions people need to read.

Also Brady was great with the fans yesterday. Not sure where people are getting the “he was just collecting the check point” unless they are just bitter Bills fans.

I agree. I mean Brady and Gisele are worth $600 million. The chances of him coming to the Dome for money is probably pretty low.

I'm genuinely curious, are these celebs coming to the Dome to bring awareness to some charitable cause Adam is supporting like children's Cancer research or a scholarship program? If so that's absolutely wonderful, and can I donate also?

Or is Adam simply the world's absolute coolest guy on Earth to be around and celebrities are willing to be in Syracuse, NY in February just to hang out with him? If that's the case, that's totally fine too. It's just out of the ordinary and thus inherently interesting.

Agree with this. There was a huge buzz when he showed up too. He was great with fans and super into the game too. Edelman was awesome too. And Fallon was his typical self. He’s a NY guy.

years ago he showed up to a bar my sister was at in the city after winning an Emmy with his show staff. Bought everyone in bar drinks and hung out to celebrate.

Weitsman’s checks likely went to brady’s/edelman’s charitable causes. We all know they dont need the money.

Kudos to Weitsman investing $ and promoting SU -seriously.
Would prefer that celebrity attendance wasn't needed by the program as a major recruiting/promotion point.

ie:
I'm there or tuned-in to watch SU hoops, not celebrities.
Ideally, the program, facilities, fans, and history should draw top recruits vs. who sits courtside.

But suppose I'm just an aging fan who's not getting what's important now! ;)

Inquisitive is fine. Negative is ignorant and absurd. There are a number of blatantly negative posts in this thread that I am calling out.

Im surprised Weitsman’s not on his phone more often with how our team comes “prepared” to defend the homecourt.
