Another player that has caught Haskell's eye is freshman Dieudonne Pierre, a 6-foot guard from Fowler High School in Syracuse. Mike Hopkins, the top assistant coach at Syracuse University, called Haskell this summer and asked if he had room in his program for Pierre.
"He played on the same AAU team as (Syracuse-bound) DaJuan Coleman," Haskell said. "They thought coming here might be more comfortable than staying near Syracuse. We got kind of lucky with those two guys."
