I agree. I hate Michigan that much. I hate OSU too but hating Michigan would be so much more fun if Shady were their coach. I doubt he'd last 2 years, too abrasive. This is the Midwest we're talking about. He's gotta recruit Ohio. He will actually have to play someone unlike at Rutgers.
We already lose that 99/100 times. There is another team, who I won't mention by name, that would be hurt much more by this than us.I would love it on the field - but fighting off Penn State and Mich in NJ recruiting could be pretty tough.
Michigan is going to replace a goofy, intense, defensive guy with a goofy, intense, defensive guy?
How does that make any sense?
Defense isn't their problem.
the way you beat urban meyer is to block punts. even though ohio state will never need to puntMichigan is going to replace a goofy, intense, defensive guy with a goofy, intense, defensive guy?

i read somewhere that some sources at michigan are worried about what it will look like if a coaches turns them down. what a bunch of knuckleheads - who cares? They are just lost right now. Tried an offensive guy, it failed miserably (mostly because of his preferred defense, but the offense had some lumps too). Tried a defensive guy who was closer to a Michigan man, coached there for 7 years previously. Failed miserably.
Can't wait to see what they do from here. They should offer Urban Meyer $25M per year. They can afford it.

Warm up the helicopter.
Schiano is waste product. Just say no, Michigan.
I'm in the very small minority around here but i think Schiano may work at Michigan. Call me crazy but he did turn around that historically inept program to a middle of the road program that leveraged itself into a big 10 invite.
I think Michigan can do alot worse than Schiano. With the recruit base he will inherit there, I wouldn't completely discount it. I mean i'd take him over what we have right now.
HCGS never won a BE title in a watered down miami/vatech less league. Towards the end of his career he was pulling in top 40 nation recruiting classes. He had numerous NFL draft picks on his teams. All of that medicrity WITHOUT playing Nebraska, Wisconsin, PSU, OSU, ND annually. Schiano would be a terrible hire for Michigan.
I bet Howard and Norfolk State fans will disagree with this.HCGS never won a BE title in a watered down miami/vatech less league. Sure. He's got Howard on speed dial.If he went there and since Michigan no longer plays ND, don't you think Schiano will manipulate the OOC schedule like he did at Rutgers? I know he will/would.

I wish we would do a little of the OOC manipulating until we have consistent 8+ win seasons. If he went there and since Michigan no longer plays ND, don't you think Schiano will manipulate the OOC schedule like he did at Rutgers? I know he will/would.
Except at RU, he upped the recruiting from dismal to decent. That, combined with limited challenges in scheduling, resulted in talent winning more games despite his actual coaching limitations. Without reviewing their recent recruiting classes, I'd venture that UM is already pulling in higher rated players and even if he improves it, they won't be significantly different from their peers - they are pretty much all upper echelon already. To make a difference, he will have to use that talent better than other teams and we saw how he did in a league designed to have evenly-matched teams.I'm in the very small minority around here but i think Schiano may work at Michigan.
