Sean Tucker and the record books

I really think the upcoming draft is going to have 4 Cuse players go in the first three rounds (Tucker, Jones, G. Williams, Bergeron)
I worry that the de-emphasis on running backs in the NFL will make Tucker a lower round pick than you’d expect 10 or 20 years ago.

And Bergeron strikes me as a 5-7 or UFA. Not a knock on him at all - he’ll get a shot.

I think you're right...
Just looked up the draft picks in 2022 and 3 RBs were taken in both round 2 and 3.
Heck, as an RB you may have to win the Heisman to go late in the first round.

He's a special talent. I just want him to stay healthy. He'd fit beautifully into the Raven's running game emphasis.

He’d be a good sleeper fantasy pick though.

I completely agree with you on Tucker

I completely disagree with you on Bergeron.

Tucker’s ceiling draft wise is around where breece hall went but that may be reserved for the Texas rb. If tucker becomes effective in the pass game, which I suspect, and he keeps his rushing production up then he’s a lock in the second round.

Bergeron may go third if he’s stronger in the run game. Jones’ ceiling is probably 3-4 range.

The one guy that can be a mid to late first rounder is Williams. He really needs to ball out this year against the strong competition.

Jones isn’t going in the first 3 rounds. Too small.
I’d like to see his measurable at the combine, 6-1 225 on the roster sheet but he sure looked bigger on campus

If Tucker got the ball last year when GS ran in a bunch of those close ones, I think he is in Heisman talk. I hope they feed him constantly inside the 10 this year. He is lookin jacked too. Crazy

Tucker is a 2nd or 3rd rounder - but that doesn't mean he won't be in the NFL and a person talking heads will be talking about for a long time.

Jonathan Taylor is a good comp - he was a 2nd round pick, 41st overall. That's probably the range Tucker will be in depending on team needs and such.

Main thing is we will have a skill position player that should get prime touches in the NFL for the first time since maybe Mike Williams?

And probably the best running back in the NFL from Syracuse since... Robert Drummond? Joe Morris?

Excited for this year and to see Tucker perform with a real offensive coordinator.

Since the defense was probably keying on the tailback, why would you want that?
