I heard Joe Burton's name and had to look him up? What is his intimate connection to get on the committee? Def seems to have money. Doesnt seem to be on good terms with P. But is he a mysterious donor??

If it's the same Burton, Joe Burton played here. Family has big money. UConn's Burton Football Complex is named after his money.

is it still named after him? seems from my research taht they hated the P hire and wanted their name off the building and their money back.

Could've been our facility. P not naming his kid captain was the biggest issue I had with him, seemed like a small price to pay for that being built here when we desperately needed facility upgrades. Probably would've made P's life much easier on the recruiting front, and probably why he was pissed they hired him at UConn. Extremely petty, imo, if that was the reason.

The outrage over P at Uconn was the eldest Burton and to be fair, Uconn did screw it up. He went scorched earth in the press. SU screwed up the relationship and the money went to Uconn. Then Uconn screwed it up and we got it back (simple version of a more complicated story).

It's a good thing from a $ standpoint. Not sure which Joe we're talking about to be honest -- there are multiple Joe's I think so not sure if this is the son now or the grandson.

Let’s give it a few weeks. Lots of moving parts and coordination. All we need is support, financial support and bodies in seats. If we get that, we can really, for the first time in a long time compete. If we don’t, then as coach said “we will see the definition of insanity, doing the same thing and expecting different results”. We need to be the fan base of the SEC and big ten schools if we want to compete. We need to donate and show up to games. If we don’t, then we deserve what we get. Remember, in 3 years we will have Micron and their support facilities here. We will have Fairlife in Rochester and their support facilities, and some are located here now. Again, change the doom and gloom mentality of CNY and make a change !!

A grassroots NIL effort will go a long way.10-20k subscribers. You don’t need to be local to chip in.

We should and can fill up a smaller Dome every damn week.
