I'm not going to disagree with anyone that dislikes the SEC, or disagree with the claim that the system is tilted in their favour.

But they clearly deserve this many teams in the tournament as of now, and will deserve the 11, 12 or 13 they ultimately get in.

Their fate in terms of seeds probably depends on how even the league standings are from 1-16, and how few teams do really bad in the SEC (go worse than 6-12).

There certainly is a path for the ACC to get to 5 in the end...but there is also a path for them to only have 3.

It’s the coaches, stupid! When the new Big East was king, they had the deep bench of premier coaches. Boeheim. Pitino. Wright. Calhoun. Huggie. Buzz. Dixon. JT3 ( vom ). Even dorky turtle neck Mike Brey. Sure there were some duds, but the conference had star power coaches. Compare that and the SEC with the current crop of coaches in the ACC. It’s painfully obvious why the conference is lagging behind. You can buy all the players you want but you need a competent coach to lead them.
