Yesterday somebody called into Bud and the Manchild and said that he "hates to be cyncial" but he didn't think much of SU's chances in the tournament. Today Jimmer Morgan said he was "pessimistic".

A skeptic is someone who doesn't take things at face value and needs them to be proven.

A pessimist is someone who expects the worst possible outcome.

A cynic is someone who views everything in terms of self-interest.

A skeptic thinks we might lose. A pessimist thinks we will lose. A cynic thinks the fix is on.
