I don't think you have to worry. The committee will look at their relative SOS including out of conference wins and that will decide where they land. I'm thinking a 3 or 4 seed come March.
I wouldn't give the Wichita State Shockers a 1 seed even if they went undefeated. They shouldn't even be in contention for a 1 seed if the committee actually does what they say and ranks teams based on who they have played and beaten. I think Wichita State could make the Final Four because they are that good, but their schedule just isn't worthy of a 1 seed. If the committee does give them a 1 seed I hope they put Kansas, Florida type team as their 2 seed just to balance out of the brackets, and puts a team that could have been a 1 seed in the Wichita bracket just to balance things out.
In 1998 Princeton went 26-1 and only got a 5 seed. Wichita State made the Final Four last year, but their non-conference schedule is not good enough to overcome the MVC schedule.

Right now the Bracket Matrix has them #6 on the S curve and that was before Villanova lost last night. People are kidding themselves if they think this team is not getting a 1 or 2 seed if they go unbeaten. I will bet my golf clubs on it.
I don't disagree with you and think they will get a 2 seed, but everything I am saying about them is my personal opinion based on what I have seen from them on the court and their schedule. You are correct in everything you say, but if I was on the committee I wouldn't put them anywhere near the top line with their non-conference schedule. Gonzaga last year played people and played them away from home and played BYU and St. Mary's 5 times before the NCAA tournament. IMO, Wichita State's max seed is a 2 seed and that is if they go undefeated. If they are on the top line the committee should make Kansas their 2 seed if Kansas stays as hot as they are.Right now the Bracket Matrix has them #6 on the S curve and that was before Villanova lost last night. The Committee will not punish a mid major for schedule like they do to power conference teams. If Wichita St goes undefeated they will get no worse than a#2 seed and, depending on how many loses the other elite teams take, they could get a #1 with some breaks. I also don't agree with it but that is the way the Committee has been moving in recent years. That Wichita St made the FF last year proving their legitimacy as a quality team also is a big factor.I don't disagree with you and think they will get a 2 seed, but everything I am saying about them is my personal opinion based on what I have seen from them on the court and their schedule. If the committee rewards Wichita State with a 1 seed with that logic. If I was in a power conference I would NEVER play a road game, and just beat nobody and rack up wins they go 1 or 2 above .500 and your in the tournament. Wichita State best wins against are @St. Louis, @Alabama, Tennessee, BYU, DePaul and Creighton left the MVC this season. Their resume is an insult to Gonzaga last year who beat West Virginia, Clemson, Oklahoma, @Washington State, Kansas State, Baylor, @Oklahoma State and lost 2 games @Butler on a last second miracle, and Illinois. Gonzaga also beat St. Mary's 3 times and BYU 2 times. Wichita State's resume IS NO WHERE NEAR Gonzaga's and Gonzaga got the 4th 1 seed with teams like Ohio State B1G co-regular season and tournament champions, Miami regular season and tournament ACC champion, Georgetown(lol FGCU), Duke on the 2 line with impressive resumes. The Committee will not punish a mid major for schedule like they do to power conference teams. Wichita State belongs NO WHERE near the 1 line and honestly I wouldn't give them a 2 seed even though that is where the committee would put them. If nobody will play you home/home Wichita State then play in the Jimmy V Classic, or play Kansas in Kansas City in a paycheck game and earn your respect.
If they go undefeated, and win their conference tournament, the committee will give them a 1 seed. The explanation will be they beat everyone they played, not their fault major teams didn't, or wouldn't play them.
How can they be taken seriously when they have a syracusefan.com poster on their remaining schedule? And one with no posts, to boot!
WSU's toughest win is tennesee at home, second toughest is @ a 8-9 alabama squad after that they will beat maybe 2-4 nit teams including nit longshots byu(11-8) and depaul.
Not deserving of a 1 win or lose.
I can see the commitee penalizing them for it. They knew they weren't sneaking up on anyone this year.
There is a huge margin between a one and two, not as big a margin between 2 and 3.
they will lose one of these, also this is not their full remaining schedule
