I think Jimmy and Buddy are gone for sure - Cole is more up in the air IMO. If he comes back he is no doubt the guy and will get a ton of shots. I could understand him wanting to get paid now, but if he has a great offseason and good year next year, I could see him getting drafted despite his age. For him it might be worth it to come back and see if that happens. I don’t think his family particularly “needs” the money either so it’s not a situation where he needs to get paid ASAP to help his family

I also think a lineup of Mintz/JG3/Cole/Benny/Jesse is enticing. Now if we don’t get Mintz and let’s say Jesse leaves and we are scrambling to fill the roster, then maybe Cole goes.

Jimmy is 23 going to be 24.
Buddy is 22 going to be 23 in November.

So age would be the same for Cole or Buddy.
I guess that is why Buddy won’t come back either.

Cole, Benny and at lease one high level forward from the portal and we can patch together our forward rotation.

Jesse was top five in the country in FG%, our leader in PER and BPM by far, was our only good defender covering for other players and still was last in FGA per game out of the five starters and 10 FGA per game less than Buddy who is shooting 41% from the floor.

Oh, and his coach has hit him in the media along the way.

I’m not saying Jesse should leave, but I would absolutely understand if he did.

A natural PG could help him immensely. Jesse and Joe are still threats.

He’s 6’9 he should be able to get his shot over anyone

He was a press conference whipping boy all season. That might factor in, along with the lingering suspicion that he was good enough to play more LAST year, as evidenced by his obvious improvement once he got game time.

Disagree. We’ve seen enough Buddy ball offense. To me it’s a toss up but I’d say Jesse over Cole, but just barely

Jesse wasn't part of the question. Look at the OP. The question was who of those three would be most valuable. I'm ready for the end of Buddy ball too, but I think if Cole is in the same role next year as Buddy was this year, he won't handle it as well.

I don’t think that he should have been the third option this year. Plays should have been made up for him to be the second option. I know that Buddy, Joe and Jesse were on the team but it seems that Cole was a better option due to the coverage that other teams put on Buddy. Problem was the offense was geared around Buddy. I did like it when Joe worked the ball to Jesse on Pick and Rolls.
