Senior day Miami.

Cole will be 23 in May. He is 22 now.
Jimmy is 23 going to be 24.
Buddy is 22 going to be 23 in November.

So age would be the same for Cole or Buddy.
I guess that is why Buddy won’t come back either.

Cole will be successful in whatever he chooses to so. He has the kind of approach to the game and his teammates like a good coach, is well spoken and charismatic to look at sports journalism if he desires so( he has mentioned this before) and clearly is an improving hooper.

So age clearly could be a factor in his decision but his long term trajectory isn't going to be heavily influenced by one more year here should he surprise and stay. I would expect he leaves myself but just saying..

Yeah... COle coming back would be good for next year's team.
3 Forwards (Benny, Cole and Taylor(?)) could be a good forward rotation with Ajok.
IF WE COULD GET Mintz...
JG, Mintz, Cole Benny Jesse...you've got inside outside offense with a PG that can penetrate.
But this is CUSE, probably asking too much.

I've mentioned this before that I think Cole would make a great coach. Seems to have a great demeanor. Plus, he interned under Jay Wright and JAB. Two pretty good coaches.

In his last interview I saw he said when his playing days are over, he’d like to get into either coaching or sports broadcasting because he’d like to stay around the game.

Think that’s the only reason? Plenty of players staying across the nation for a 5th year.

Really feel bad that the Boeheim brothers weren't able to experience a vintage Syracuse season. Playing together, for their dad, must have been so cool -- a once in a lifetime experience. And they're both such likeable kids, it's too bad that it ended up being a .500 type of season [for all involved].

By the way, Jimmy has shown that he can be an ACC contributor. He was just miscast as a starter playing 32+ mpg. How valuable might he have been if the timing was different, and we placed him on - say - that Tyus Battle team from 2018, when we had virtually zero depth? A kid like JB3 coming off the bench and providing scoring / shooting would have been a godsend.

Oh well...

I don't want to burst any bubbles but us getting absolutely smoked (14-0, 38-10 48-18) on his OV, and his lead quote, which was "they deserve consideration" is one of the weakest statements you hear after an official visit. I don't hear any excitement in his quote, I hear "they cleared the lowest bar",
