It does seem possible that I sent that...
Helton is definitely on the hot seat, but shouldn’t be. If they fire him, who in their right mind would want to coach there? He took over for Sark in 2015 and still managed to make the conference championship game. In 2016, finished 10-3 with a Rose Bowl win. In 2017, 11-3 Pac12 Champions and a loss in the Cotton Bowl. You have that success with one down year and they are calling for your head. Mind you, there were some calling for him to be fired in 2016. Absolutely laughable.Which USC we talking about? I don't think the Trojans fire Helton this year (They won the Rose Bowl two years ago and are in rebuild mode this year). On the other hand, i could see the Gamecocks parting ways with Muschamp.
I dunno. I heard USC and Awbren have become Dabos dream jobs. Just sayin'It's gonna tough on Clemson, now that Dabo's agreed to go to 'Bama. Just sayin'
I am authorized to speak for Coach Babers. His position is that he is comfortable at a university where an 8-4 record is not a fire-able offense, while still having the real possibility of winning his conference and attending the playoff. With the USC and Awbren jobs more than likely opening up at the end of the year, would Babers reject his coach-in-waiting offer from Clemson? The Clemson job may not be open at year end like the other two.
Mark Coyle was recently seen in the Jamesville area driving a Minnesota Golden Golphers big rig. He wants his coach back. They ain't doing so hot. You guys in the dirty south got some competition. With the USC and Awbren jobs more than likely opening up at the end of the year, would Babers reject his coach-in-waiting offer from Clemson? I said the same and then deleted it. Until they hire somebody that’s the school that makes me very nervous. Don’t think Helton last another year. They need a big personality for that job and Dino is that.USC would be one of the handful of jobs I would be very worried about him leaving for.
Spot on. He is without a doubt getting fired. You don’t get it. It’s valid not laughable. I’m an alum. Search some of my posts under Wildhack/Babers stuff. I’ve detailed/chronicled all the problems behind the scenes. The Pac-12 S is a joke. Rose Bowls should be the norm. The Pac-12 S with how weak the teams are should vault you right to the top of the country at least in terms of record and positioning yourself towards the playoffs. The get embarassed and overwhelmed by teams like Texas. 113 in the country in Rushing Offense. With top 5 AGGREGATE talent (actually Top 4 currently in number of 4/5* on roster) the past five years you reload. Sam Darnold masked a lot of problems. Players begging/asking for tougher and more detailed practices to the media. The staff of former Conf USA bumpkins refuse to change up any practice habits. Helton hired a QB coach with ZERO experience. Search some of Dan Weber’s writing. He’s one of the most respected beat writers out there. Former player, coach, and trainer.
