We recently went without cable for an extended period. We still had netflix, espn3, hulu, etc. but standard programming was gone. My epiphany was that we really don't need regular TV except for one thing: Syracuse sports.
There is no programming that's worth the $150 or so a month that Direct TV charges. Regular TV is crap.
The question is: Is there a way to get a quality HDTV Syracuse basketball or football game in California through either computer or subscription services?

I don't know about California (I'm in CNY), but if I could drop the monthly TV fee and still watch as much basketball, football, baseball as I can with cable I'd drop it in a second.

$140+ a month is ridiculous.

I feel for you. Was out of the loop when exhibition games started (only Time Warner, weren't on Fios) so I bought the stream.

The best I could recommend is directly through SU Athletics. Otherwise, since I'm guessing the games are spread out over multiple "jurisdictions", you would miss some games here and there.

SU Athletics probably covers all games.
