What's wrong with that though? Morrison was a great college player, as is McDermott. I don't think anyone is touting McDermott as a lottery pick or anything, but he's a great college player.

Not saying anything is wrong with it. I was a big fan of Morrison in college. But he peaked at around the same time his mustache did.

Exactly. It's as though people expect the award to be a projection of NBA success and not a reflection of college excellence.
