Is that insult contextually worse in the UAE? I mean, is it a local hate idiom normally spoken in arabic?
Marquette will drop out of the rankings Monday also so that will likely be counted as playing a cupcake (at home).

Posted to his twitter after the win:
"Believe it or not, Syracuse doesn't play a ranked team on the road until Feb. 13th."
Funny, Duke has ONE ranked team on their schedule on the road the rest of the way, on Feb. 4th.
OSU's next road game against a ranked team is Feb. 4th as well
Kentucky? Feb 21st.
And UNC doesn't until Feb. 25th.
But it's Syracuse's fault that the BE is down this year and we apparently made the BE schedule too.
It would be nice for our SOS if Florida could win a few tough games. (or beat Kentucky once)
Yes and no.I just read 30 some-odd replise to this post and most of you are such knee-jerk reactionary idiots it's astounding.
Seth Davis wasn't complaining about Syracuse or the schedule.
Nor was he putting 'Cuse down in any way, shape, or form.
He was simply pointing out that, with the combination of the way the schedule played out, who's currently ranked in the Big East, AND who Cuse plays on the road in January, it's quite amazing that in a league as strong as the BE is, that Cuse doesn't go on the road to play a ranked BE team until mid-feb.
And to tell you the truth, I'm shocked too... Fact is, if someone told you that same tidbit back in September you wouldn't have believed it... Not for a second.
But of course now that SU is #1, everyone takes every single media mention that doesn't blow smoke up our collective asses as a shot against the Orange.
Why does everybody i here have such thin skin and absolutely no ability to read between the lines???
Bunch of crybabies in here sometimes.

If everybody else has two losses when we get our first will we still be #1? :noidea:
Yes and no.
Duke and UNC have only each other to play the rest of the year...
So why doesn't he cite one of the other schools that have situations very similar, if not even more extreme, than SU's?
As to "reading between the lines"--140 characters do not lend themselves to clear explications, and the reader(s) can interpret what they read as they wish. Even if it is through orange-colored glasses.
I honestly thought Seth Davis was merely pointing out that it appears Syracuse will be favored, and possibly undefeated until mid-february. I don't think it was a shot at our league schedule...which historically is one of the tougher ones because of television demands.

Kentucky has road games vs. Florida (fading) and Vandy (who knows?). Not much beyond that.
Baylor has challenges at KU and KSt.
And we have 2 each vs. UConn and LVille, not to mention GT.
Everybody knew that our schedule was ridiculously back-loaded--you know, for CBS and ESPN.
