Wisconsin:

I don't really respect the way they play. Jordan Taylor likes to run and grab you, and then throw his head back and try to get a call. If you set a pick, they take a dive. They cheat the game. Everybody raves about this defensive juggernaut, but that's bull. They dribble the clock out and mug you out of the building. Part of the reason they lost to Cornell and Davidson is because when you get into the tournament, refs outside the Big Ten don't fall for that. Taylor is kind of struggling, but they're always going to be in the game because they're not going to shoot until there are six seconds left on the shot clock. Then they give it to Taylor. That's their offense. They don't even run the swing as much as they used to. Taylor plays no defense because he's trying to save his energy. Jared Berggren, Josh Gasser and Mike Bruesewitz have all had fabulous seasons, and Ryan Evans has really taken his game to the next level. They're going to be in every game because of the way they play and the fact that they have a lot of weapons.

Sounds like Pitt or Marq on the defensive end and ND on the offensive end.

edit: The write-up is based on comments from two Big 10 coaches.

If you notice, that was posted on March 2nd. Notice some of his comments. His analysis is close to spot on from Mizzou "could be ripe for an early exit..." to Kansas State's scoring and defense, to Wisconsin. Note what he says under Syracuse, right at the end. Foreshadowing much?

Wow, that is brutal. We've had a few teams morphing into those styles lately.

Stall ball: USF, Notre Dame
Clutch & Grab/Floppers: Pitt, Marquette, UL does it a bit too.

interesting that USF, Marquette and Louisville are still alive in the tourney...maybe refs havent figured it out yet

"Jordan Taylor likes to run and grab you, and then throw his head back and try to get a call."

The exact same thing was written about that #54 on Butler, the one who flopped all over and tackled KJ under the hoop with no call. Having a bad flashback.

Why didn't someone link this earlier? Might be the only interesting thing I've ever heard/read from Sethy.

MSU does the same thing. I respect nothing from the big 10... burn it.

That garbage won't fly as easily against a one seed.

wisconsin being a 5 and not a 9-16 should help us some.

It was linked before and it wasn't Seth that said those things.

They're a 4 and this style of play sure as hell flew for Butler when they played us as a 1 seed. WWF take-downs were executed inches away from referees with no calls.

I don't think they're quite at the level of Matt Howard and Butler. Those teams took flopping and "scrappy defense" to a level I hope to never see again.

Seriously, when you reach the point where they let you do suplexes and don't blow a whistle because you're a tough bunch - well, that's just next level . So glad Butler is out this year, hopefully they stay out, unless they figured out how to play basketball like normal people.

That's all Butler did for two years in the tournament and it flew just fine. I wish someone in the national press called out Butler like that.
