Seton Hall is FUN

What do people think about Cooney then if we are ripping Arachnid?!

So, what do people think here of Seton Hall? They have played good competition all year. I know they are a bunch of sophs led by Whitehead but am embarrassed to say I haven't seen them play once yet.

Well that post I guess wasn't quite as mean as the one a short while ago comparing rooting for Coleman to rooting for Corky on Life Goes On, so you can take solace in that.

Christ. I'm glad I missed that one.

I hadn't seen them play since our last game with them. The SH / nova game was one of the few non-SU games I've watched start to finish in the past few years. Very exciting. I loved the way they played with such fire. Can't remember the last time we looked so 'enthused.' There's something about the 'Syracuse apathy' thing we used to talk about in the 80s... Taking things for granted...

And Whitehead. Wow. He really is very Pearl-like. Slump-shouldered, low-waisted, soft-chinned... Deceptively explosive, with a low dribble and quick first step, and that extreme forward lean on a drive. He even made and missed layups with Pearl's form. I kinda expected a game-winning attempt to be blocked by Walter Berry.

They had a post player who should serve as a model for DC and Roberson. He posted up, caught a pas on the block, and immediately went up with it... No catch, turn, turn, overly ambitious dribble move, shoulder into the defender, pump fake and then brick off the backboard... Just a simple, efficient, unblockable power move... And that kid was not talented. So jealous...

It may be because SteveHolt encouraged me to finally get around to drinking, but I had a good chuckle and am still grinning. It feels good to not feel alone on not being cool with all of the mean spirited posters.

Actually, that makes me wonder if OttoInGrotto can use his photoshop abilities to make a Life Goes On photo with Coleman added to the family picture? Maybe in a sweater, being they are dressed nice for their portrait pictures?

Instead of the family portrait, I was going to post the theme song but I found something better. I didnt remember how well Corky could dance, or that he started a brawl. To the best of my knowledge, he may exceed Coleman in those categories(DC2 is no DC when it comes to brawling, and I kind of miss a true enforcer even though DaJuan seems like a great kid, like Cooney or Kaleb), even if he couldn't beat him in a game of one on one:

isiah whitehead and the hall knock off nova . swing and a miss there for syracuse.

I don't blame SU for that. From what I remember there were some shady people in his camp and SU didn't need any more NCAA problems.
