I totally agree with your post. It just floors me that practically everyone in this country has no distinction between what is a fact and what is an opinion. Opinions cannot be false. Opinions cannot be lies. It's just amazing that so many people think their own opinions are facts.

Truth is obsolete.

That's what I thought. You have absolutely nothing. Thanks! ;-)

Kids have stated they don't want to play zone. It's a fact do some research. I don't have to show you anything because I know it and have read it. There have been kids that we wanted who were out of reach because of the 2-3. There are kids that came here for the 2-3 as well. If you refuse to be objective people won't take your argument seriously. Situationaly 100% zone takes players off the board for us and is used against us by others to negatively recruit. If you want to live in ignorance of this then that's your decision.

Darius Bazley. Take your zone/man/recruiting of anyone else to another thread. Thank you.
His ranking is currently 26th in the class of 2018 (composite). Scout has him ranked the highest at 13th.

So I think he is just outside burger recognition for now. Based on his strong summer and overall skill set, that should change.

Is there any doubt he will end up in the composite top 10?

I hope he finds a prep school to play at. That would help his development which seems to have hit warp speed lately. When I watch him I see a top10 kid for sure.

???? He's already committed to us! Why would you want him to go to prep school for a year; he's already a top 25 recruit.

To ask a Bazley question...is he going to be strictly a wing (probably a 3 in the sense that CJ Fair was) or could we expect a few minutes in the middle of the zone?

And I see him being listed as 6'7" or 6'8", 185...any measurements this summer?

C'mon man, throwing giant cinder blocks around the place like a rampaging gorilla is not the answer! IMO, this whole 'how much does zone hurt recruiting' argument is pretty overblown. We can't say with certainty how many players don't come here *specifically* because of the zone, and we can't say how many players feel that way and just don't say it. As others have said, zone is probably a double edge sword regarding its effect on our recruiting: it both helps and hurts. Where I think some people get into trouble is trying to characterize the situation one way or the other, as in one of the earlier comments about "many" players not coming here because of zone. That's where things become subjective, and that's when you have people wanting to know, well, what does "many" mean? Seems to me that was where AlpharettaCuse was coming from and that seems like a very reasonable response to a statement that was based on opinion.

Better competition, facilities and nutrition. He's not going to benefit as much playing public highschool ball as he would at playing in a prep league.

Well, if you want to throw him back in the pool so that other schools can get another shot at him, I think you're crazy.

So him staying at his current school keeps him safe from the sharks?

Maybe I misunderstood, but I took him to mean doing a post-grad year at prep school. With school just underway or starting very shortly in most of America, I think it would be awfully hard for him to find a prep school, apply and get admitted in just a week or two.

Don't want to speak for jordoo, but I took it to mean, he wished he was going to prep school in this coming season. I think that would've been a great thing also, although yes, it's most likely too late.

• The cinderblock: Alpharettacuse demanded "concrete" proof. D'ya see what i did there?
• My point is that there is no concrete proof, either way, yet he seemed to believe that me not providing it was a validation of his perspective. And it isn't.
